Support our Mothers and Mothers to Be and God's children

This Giving Tuesday, our goal is to help support our St. Michael Pro-Life Ministry. Annually in January St. Michael sends parishioners to the March for Life on a bus to Washington D.C.  Giving Tuesday will assist those who cannot afford this trip, to help offset the cost of transportation, food, and lodging. Attending and being a part of the March for Life can be a life changing experience.

In addition, our Pro-Life Ministry here at St Michael supports mothers and their new families with needed baby supplies for mothers who are struggling financially to support their families.

Thank you to help support our mothers and mothers to be and God's children!

Who We Are

St. Michael Catholic Church is located in Gainesville, GA. We are a diverse truly Catholic (Universal) Community celebrating Masses in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese.

The first Catholic Mass was celebrated in Gainesville right after the turn of the 20th Century around 1910 with the Mass being celebrated in the basement of General James Longstreet when a traveling priest was available here monthly in the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains.

St. Michael was made a mission in 1933 when the first St. Michael Catholic Church was built out of Stone Mountain granite. We have been worshiping at our current location since 1975. We are blessed to have been able recently to disassemble the old St Michael, and have plans to rebuild it at our current location to become our Adoration chapel, where Jesus can be praised 24/7 in the future.

We are grateful for our pastor Father Nestor Yulfo originally from Puerto Rico, who has come to the Archdiocese of Atlanta as a missionary priest to serve the flock of Jesus.
