Tulane Catholic Center

We need your support!   This year we're raising funds to continue our mission to help our students grow together into the saints they are called to be.

Will you help?

Our mission at Tulane Catholic is to gather students from across the university and provide a spiritual home away from home. When students arrive on campus, they yearn for a place to belong. Through invitation, fostering hospitality, faith formation, ministries, and a fully functioning Chapel and student center, we are able to accomplish what God has called us to be - fishers of all. Here, we provide the building blocks and sustenance for students to become saints in the making. Imagine how different the Catholic Church would be if more students graduated from college with a solid Catholic formation? If they are challenged to make a beautiful impact in the world? Instead, many leave the church by the age of 23. We need your help to provide opportunities for college students to encounter our Lord and be transformed! Other than our Chaplain's stipend, we rely on donorship to run our Chapel and student center. As an affiliate of Tulane University, we do not receive direct funding. Our goal is to raise $100,000! This will allow Tulane Catholic to continue our mission to serve students and help us reach those who so desperately need it!

Will you help us reach our goal of 100,000?

Hospitality Tulane Catholic Center is open and welcoming to all Tulane University students. Many come to seek refuge from campus-life, study, meet up with friends, adoration and daily Mass, or fellowship with student leaders and staff. We offer free daily and special occasion hospitality (i.e. coffee, fresh fruit, snacks) which makes a significant difference to the students we serve.

  • Sunday Night Supper Hosted after our weekly 5pm Mass, Sunday Night Suppers are impactful and provide food and fellowship to 50+ students. For some, food insecurity is a daily challenge.
  • Faith Formation, Athletics & Greek Outreach
    • Our staff, students, student leaders, and FOCUS missionaries make a significant impact through constant engagement with campus, athletics and Greek life through our Center events, Bible studies, and fellowship. Students can go through RCIA and receive Sacraments of Initiation in our Chapel. Missions, Pilgrimages & Retreats
Our goal is to build transformative faith-based relationships that continue even after the trip ends. We aim to host two retreats each semester. Additionally, we help facilitate other local and national retreat opportunities. Our Mission trips, Retreats, and Pilgrimages are determined by the generosity of donors. Tulane Catholic recently completed the Camino de Santiago in Summer '24, and hosted our Fall '24 Fall Retreat at The Cenacle on the Lake. We currently need funding for our mission trip to Honduras in Summer '25 at a cost of $10,000+.
  • Chapel & Center Events After special Masses we host simple meals for students. Each year we welcome students into the Catholic faith with a Sacraments of Initiation Mass and reception. We celebrate our graduating seniors with a Baccalaureate Mass and reception. Our socials and porch party hospitality grillings are a great way to invite students to experience the Catholic way!
  • FOCUS Missionaries Outreach We financially sponsor four FOCUS missionaries based at Tulane Catholic at an annual cost of $70,000. Along with our center-based Bible study, FOCUS Missionaries organize separate tailored Bible studies across campus. They assist with retreats, missions, and center events. Currently, they’re gearing up for the annual SEEK Conference, which gathers thousands of young people (both Catholics and non-Catholics) from across the country to grow in faith and fellowship.
  • Tulane Catholic Chapel & Operations. Other than our Chaplain's yearly stipend, we rely on the generosity of donors to keep our doors open to our Chapel and student center. We have  minimal essential staff, employee student workers, Student Leadership Team(SLT), and a volunteer base that allow us to run the facility and programmatic structure. Our Chapel and Center were built in 2015 and we have current repairs and replacement costs (i.e. driveway, HVAC
