Giving Tuesday: Give Us a Lift!

This Giving Tuesday, the Special Needs Ministry at the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas is partnering with Savior Pastoral Center to help make the campus more accessible for every guest we serve. Because no one should have to take a separate route—or feel like an afterthought—just to enter a building.

Many individuals with mobility challenges currently have to use an alternate, inconvenient entrance at Savior. Together, we’re working to change that. By expanding the number of interior chair lifts, we can provide safe, direct, and dignified access throughout the building.

Last year’s Giving Tuesday supporters made a tremendous impact by funding the installation of the first interior chair lift—a major milestone toward a more inclusive Savior Pastoral Center.

This year, we’re continuing that work hand-in-hand with Savior, ensuring that each improvement reflects the real needs of the individuals, families, and ministries we accompany.

What Your Gift Makes Possible

• $25,000 – Install one new interior chair lift, opening access to another key area of the building.

• $50,000 – Install a two-level lift and relocate the existing lift to better serve additional guest rooms.

• $100,000 (Full Goal) – Create full accessibility between the chapel and the Keleher Conference Center—two of the most meaningful and frequently used spaces at Savior.

• Create a warm, inclusive environment for all who visit

• Ensure individuals with disabilities—and their families—can fully take part in retreats, programs, and ministries
