Catholic Charities Mobile Food Pantry

In 2025, Catholic Charities launched the Good Samaritan Mobile Food Pantry, bringing essential food and supplies directly to communities that lack public transportation or easy access to a traditional food bank.

Currently serving the Chackbay community and Grand Isle, the mobile pantry ensures families in need receive the same high-quality goods they would find at a food bank location. Each family is able to receive a food box once every 30 days, in accordance with USDA guidelines. In 2026, we plan to expand this vital service to Morgan City, reaching even more families in need.

As a result of this outreach, our food banks are serving more people than ever, which depletes supplies at a faster rate. Your donation will help us:

• Fill gaps in food and hygiene supplies
• Purchase boxes and materials to package food for families
• Cover fuel costs for the mobile pantry truck
