Christ Crucified

"Make me known and loved."

...those were the words our founder "heard" in response to his prayer. For years he'd felt the increasing nudge to "do something more" with what was then a growing side-business selling his original-design Realistic Crucifix. The prayer - what was the "more" God would have him do? 

In 2023 he started Christ Crucified with the mission to make Jesus Christ known and loved through the Passion.

"We preach Christ crucified..." (1 Corinthians 1:23)

Suffering is the inevitable condition of fallen humanity. Without Christ, people and societies descend into hopelessness, sin, and despair. Christ's Passion is the ultimate act of mercy and redemption, overcoming death and giving meaning to suffering. At Christ Crucified we seek, simply, to connect those who suffer with our crucified Lord, so that he can bring hope, healing, peace, and purpose to people, communities, and society.

2025 was a powerful inaugural year for our work at the Nebraska State Penitentiary. It was incredible to watch God work in the lives of the men we meet with weekly for Bible study and spiritual mentoring. 2026 has been no less inspiring as we make our way through Jeff Cavins' The Bible Timeline (Ascension Press) with the men. 

Join us in continuing to bring the hope and healing found only in Jesus Christ to the men at "the pen". The first $2,000 of our $24,000 goal will be used to purchase additional studies, books, and materials for the men following our completion of The Bible Timeline on May 6 - the next week we will begin Ascension's 24-part series on the Gospel of Matthew; the "first-fruits" of our goal will also be used to bring special guests and presenters to the penitentiary throughout the year. The remainder of our goal will support our ministry in critical ways, from offsetting operating costs to enabling us to continue planning, preparing, and leading the Bible study and spiritual mentoring group at the penitentiary, as well as potentially expanding our apostolate work to other facilities.
