“Keep the Song of Faith Alive: Support Music in the African American Tradition!"

Mission: Music is the heartbeat of worship in the Black Catholic community, illuminating our faith, hope, and journey toward God. Your support is essential to keep this vibrant tradition alive and growing.

How Your Gift Helps:

  • Annual Gospel Choir Concert – Our largest spiritual and cultural event, drawing 700+ participants each November to celebrate Black Catholic History Month. Funds cover musicians, soloists, production costs, and promotional materials.
  • Holy Mass with a Musical Setting to Honor the Culture of Jazz in Detroit. This annual Mass, set to a jazz setting, inspires faith in generations of Catholics and Christians alike.
  • Training for Music Ministers – Formation programs like REJOICE strengthen skills and deepen faith for those leading worship in Holy Mass, revivals, and public events.
  • Youth Engagement – Special focus on high school and college students to nurture and prepare the next generation of Black Catholic music leaders.

Why It Matters: Gospel music in the liturgy reflects our lived experience and fulfills the Church’s call for cultural expression. Together, we can ensure this ministry continues to transform hearts through the universal language of music.

Call-to-Action: Help us keep the song of faith alive! Give today and inspire faith through music.
