Seminarian Education Fund

Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary (IHMS) in Winona, Minnesota, is a Roman Catholic college seminary where young men discern God’s call to the priesthood while pursuing academic studies through Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Rooted in the Church’s Program of Priestly Formation, IHMS provides a strong foundation in prayer, philosophy, and theology—preparing men for a lifetime of service to Christ and His Church.

Each year, the Diocese of Winona-Rochester invests deeply in the formation of future priests—men preparing to serve our parishes, schools, and communities with faith and dedication. The cost to educate and form one seminarian is approximately $45,000 per year, covering tuition, housing, meals, and the essential resources for spiritual and pastoral development.
