Institute of the Apostolic Oblates

The Institute of the Apostolic Oblates is a Secular Institute for women. It is organized by three forms of membership to carry on the apostolate of holiness to everyone, everywhere, and at all times. The External and Internal Oblates are single women consecrated through vows (poverty, chastity, and obedience) and the promise of apostolate. The Apostolic Oblates try to be sowers of hope by assisting people in their journey toward holiness.

The Pro Sanctity Movement is the primary apostolate of the Apostolic Oblates. They are lifetime volunteers at the service of the Movement. Although they do not take over the leadership in the Movement, the Oblates remain the ―heart‖ of the Movement by sharing the spirituality they received through their specific formation as Oblates. Oblates work side by side with the local P.S. Board and all the members of the Movement. The role of an Apostolic Oblate in the Movement is to help with the spiritual formation of the members, and to see to the spreading of the same Movement. It is advisable to have at least one Apostolic Oblate on the Local Pro Sanctity Board to share her passion and knowledge of the charism.
