Jesus Our Risen Savior Youth Group

Youth Ministry is an effort to bring together young people of diverse ages, nationalities and ethnicities with the same purpose and goal.  In which we try to teach them the Word of God and the doctrine of the Catholic Church through classes, activities, dynamics and youth retreats. It also tries to open a new horizon in their vision by encouraging them to serve others in various areas, such as in the celebration of the Mass, in church activities and places of Catholic social action. All this in order for the young people to form a single family of faith that walks towards the same place.  

The Youth Group of Jesus, Our Risen Savior Catholic Church in Spartanburg, South Carolina is a diverse and robust group of middle and high school students who strive to get closer to God by discerning His word and serving the parish and community.  Youth Group serves the parish by serving as Lectors, participating in Summer Bible Camp, Stations of the Cross, the Parish Feast, the Christmas Market, and other activities.  Similarly, the members of our Youth Group enjoy connecting with the community through their work with the Knights of Columbus, Adopt-a-Highway, and the Matthew 25 project.  

We have big plans for 2025-2026 Youth Group!  Your donations will

• allow our Peer Ministers and CORE team to receive training to enhance their leadership skills
• defray the cost of a yearly LIFETEEN subscription
• support our Summer Bible Study with new materials 
• assist in the cost of trips such as the Christian Leadership Institute, Stubenville Conference in Atlanta, and the National Catholic Youth Conference
• help with cost of retreats for Advent, Lent, and other retreats such as a Mother/Daughter or Father/Son day
