In 2014, Mike and Mary Murray initiated the Knights of Columbus Council 15161 Scholarship Fund, managed at the Catholic Foundation. The endowed fund provides scholarships for students at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School whose families are active parishioners at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church.


The Knights regularly contribute to the fund and promote it with other members of their council, parish, and community. Through the generous donations of many Knights and parishioners at OLA, the fund has given over $39,000 in scholarship money (as of October 2025), supporting the OLA community and Catholic education.

 “The OLA Knights of Columbus Endowment Fund has been an important initiative for our council ever since Mike Murray started it in 2014. We are grateful for all who have donated over the years and we look forward to its continued growth and ability to support OLA Catholic education,” shared OLA Knight Doug Susco.
