MACCW - SCHOLARSHIP FUND

PURPOSE: The Miami Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women (MACCW) Scholarship Fund was formed to assist financially 8th grade girls attending a Catholic Elementary Schools in the Archdiocese of Miami, to continue their education at a Catholic High School. The scholarships provide the girls with money towards their first year's tuition and fees. Each year applications are sent out to Principals of archdiocesan elementary schools with an eighth grade.

OUR STORY: In 1997, the MACCW Scholarship Fund was established. In 2015, in memory of longtime chair of the scholarship committee and one of this committee's founding members, the scholarship was named the MACCW  Lucy Petrillo Scholarship Award. Since its inception, over $405,000 has been awarded to more than 92 deserving girls from Catholic Elementary Schools in the Archdiocese of Miami.

PAST SCHOLARSHIPS RECIPIENTS: The MACCW Lucy Petrillo Scholarship Award Certificates are presented to the girls at the annual MACCW Convention Banquet. The past scholarship Recipients have attended the following schools: All Saints, Annunciation, St. Lawrence, Blessed Trinity, Immaculate Conception, St Ambrose, Little Flower Hollywood, Nativity, Our Lady of the Lakes, Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, St. Andrew, St. Anthony, St. Bartholomew, St. Bernadette, St. Bonaventure, St. Clement, St. Coleman, St. Jerome, St. Francis Xavier, St. Gregory, St. Rose of Lima, St. James, St. John the Apostle, St. Helen, St. Mary Cathedral, St. Theresa, St. Thomas the Apostle, St. Timothy, Good Shepherd and St. Richard/Holy Rosary.
