At Notre Dame Housing (NDH), we believe everyone deserves to age in place surrounded by friendship, safety, and the comforts of community. For 30 years, we’ve provided not only affordable housing but also the essential programs and services that help aging adults and individuals with limited income live full, healthy, and connected lives.

Each day, residents at NDH enjoy access to amenities and programs that make aging in place possible: nutritious ENOA hot lunches, a Life Enrichment Center with exercise rooms and fitness classes, a community food pantry, and educational, social, and wellness programs designed to keep minds active and hearts engaged. 

Our Life Enrichment Coordinator creates meaningful opportunities for residents to learn, connect, and explore. From educational workshops and art and music classes to group outings that help residents experience the Omaha community, these programs nurture belonging and purpose, two essentials for healthy aging.

Our food pantry is open five times per month and operates on a no-questions-asked basis to ensure everyone in need can access support without barriers or stigma; however, our needs are constantly growing. In just one year, the number of people served by our food pantry increased by 114%, and the total amount of food distributed rose by an incredible 67%. Rising food prices have only made it harder for those living on fixed incomes forcing many to choose between paying for rent, medication, or groceries.
