Rooted in Prayer: The Rosary Garden at Our Lady Academy

This #iGiveCatholic season, Our Lady Academy invites our community of faith to join us in creating a lasting legacy of peace, prayer, and beauty on our campus — a Rosary Garden dedicated to Our Blessed Mother.

For generations, Our Lady Academy has been a place where young women grow not only in knowledge, but in faith, compassion, and leadership. Every hallway, classroom, and chapel moment reflects our mission to educate the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. Now, we seek to extend that mission beyond our walls, into a sacred outdoor space where hearts can rest, prayers can rise, and faith can flourish.

This year, our iGiveCatholic campaign centers on the creation of a Rosary Garden, a project chosen because it beautifully embodies who we are as a Catholic school rooted in the love of Mary and her Son. In today’s fast-paced world, our students and faculty need peaceful spaces to pray, reflect, and reconnect with God. The Rosary Garden will serve as a visible expression of our faith — a daily reminder to turn to prayer in both joy and challenge, and a sacred place where the OLA community can gather to seek peace, strength, and grace together.

The Rosary Garden will be a peaceful haven nestled on our campus — a place for students, faculty, and visitors to pause in reflection, find calm in the midst of busy days, and connect deeply with God through the prayer of the Rosary.

With your generous support, we plan to create a space that includes:

  • A Rosary Pathway – a beautifully designed walkway representing the decades of the Rosary, guiding visitors through the mysteries of Christ’s life and Mary’s love.
  • Sacred Landscaping and Flowers – plants and blossoms symbolizing purity, devotion, and renewal.
  • Benches and Prayer Areas – places for quiet reflection, class prayer, and small group gatherings.
  • A Marian Statue or Focal Point – a visible reminder of Mary’s presence and intercession for our school community.

This garden will be so much more than a landscaping project — it will be a spiritual home on campus. Religion classes may gather here to pray together and learn about the Rosary. Students can visit before a big test, during lunch, or after school to find peace and strength. Faculty and staff can come to reflect, recharge, and reconnect with their faith. Alumni and visitors will find in it a symbol of Our Lady Academy’s enduring commitment to prayer and the Catholic faith.

Through your iGiveCatholic donation, you are helping to plant the seeds of something that will grow in grace for years to come. Each contribution — whether large or small — will help build a place where faith takes root, where prayers are lifted, and where the beauty of creation reflects the beauty of God’s love.

This iGiveCatholic Day, we ask you to give in faith, grow in grace, and help us build our Rosary Garden. Together, as a family of faith, we can create a lasting gift for generations of Our Lady Academy students — a space that will inspire peace, reflection, and prayer for years to come.

“Hail Mary, full of grace…” — may every step in our Rosary Garden echo this timeless prayer and remind us that, through Mary, we always find our way to Christ.
