Support the Retirement Fund for Religious
Across the United States, many Catholic religious communities face significant financial challenges as their members age. For decades, Catholic sisters, brothers, and religious order priests devoted their lives to service—educating children, caring for the sick, comforting the poor, and strengthening parish life—often for little or no pay.
Today, the result of this lifelong service is a growing need.
While religious communities once relied on younger members to care for their elders, changing demographics and declining vocations mean that many communities now have far more elderly members than active ones. In fact, the majority of religious communities in the United States have a median age of 70 or older, and many lack sufficient funds to meet rising healthcare and eldercare costs.
The Retirement Fund for Religious assists religious communities in caring for their aging members during retirement. Through financial assistance, consultation, and education, the Retirement Fund for Religious helps ensure that elderly sisters, brothers, and religious order priests receive the care they need after a lifetime of faithful service.
When you support the Retirement Fund for Religious, you help honor a lifetime of service by ensuring a lifetime of care. Your generosity supports the men and women who have given their lives to the Church and to others, allowing them to live their later years with security, dignity, and peace.
Your support makes a real difference in the lives of senior religious. Please continue to pray for our aging sisters, brothers, and religious order priests.
