Formation does not end with ordination. The Diocese of Erie is committed to providing meaningful formative opportunities for ordained clergy, including priests and permanent deacons, such as an annual clergy convocation, regularly scheduled days of recollection, and retreats.

These opportunities focus on four interconnected dimensions of formation, namely: spiritual, human, pastoral, and intellectual formation. These experiences provide local clergy with the opportunity to grow spiritually and to hone their skills in a variety of different areas. For example, our upcoming Lenten priests' day of recollection will feature a presenter from Vocation Ministry who will give local priests tools they need to cultivate religious vocations in their local parishes and create a culture of vocations in the Diocese of Erie. These much-needed opportunities for continuing clergy formation can be expensive as they require securing qualified presenters and food and lodging for the participants.

Supporting continuing clergy formation in the Diocese of Erie through iGiveCatholic means supporting your local clergy and ensuring that they are able to effectively serve the Church through their various ministries. May God bless you for your generosity! Your contribution makes a difference!
