Saint Brigid Catholic Church

Since the early 1900's, the bell of St. Brigid Church has been a cherished sound in the Original Highlands neighborhood—tolling hourly and calling us together before Mass. 

St. Brigid along with St. James are the only churches in the Highlands with functioning traditional church bells. For over a century, their tolls have echoed through the neighborhood, calling the faithful to prayer, marking the hours of the day, and reminding people of God's presence in their daily lives!

Repeated lightning strikes and power outages continue to cause damage to the mechanics of the system and require ongoing costly repairs.  To keep the bell ringing properly and to reduce the maintenance issues, we must replace the bell control system (which during storms and power outages has caused damage to the electrical coils) and key mechanical parts.
