St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church

St. Edward the Confessor is a 150+ yr. old Catholic Church, part of The Diocese of Kalamazoo. 

Located in Mendon, Michigan, ours is the first Catholic Church established in St. Joseph County, Michigan. 

Our fieldstone chapel was erected in 1908 and is a beloved historic sacred place of worship to our community. With your support our chapel and cemetery will be cared for preserved for generations to come. 

December 2 is Giving Tuesday! 

During Advent season we’ll be participating in #GivingTuesday to support our St. Edward Catholic Church Mendon General Building Fund and Future Cemetery maintenance and grounds needs. 

The types of needs we can anticipate supporting may be for actions such as:

-Tuck pointing rock exterior 

-Ongoing Plaster repairs of interior 

-Unexpected maintenance and repairs 

-Ministry programming and additional support 

-Cemetery maintenance and grounds 

-Other various building needs and future improvements! 

#iGiveCatholic is a bishop-led initiative in collaboration with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and dozens of individual dioceses to bring the Catholic community together to inspire and support generosity. #iGiveCatholic is an independent 501c3 organization that runs the annual U.S. Catholic Church’s giving day -- #iGiveCatholic on GivingTuesday -- as well as year-round online giving for Catholic organizations. It’s a no-fee online giving platform (it allows church organizations to keep 100% of their contributions,) to benefit parishes like ours this Holiday Season.

Our church only sustains, grows and strengthens when we ensure future generations may care for our historic church building, grounds and cemetery with a well maintained, dedicated parish home, in service to Christ.
