St. Joseph College Seminary

 

Friends, 

Welcome back to the Day of Giving!  Each year you have supported the efforts of St Joseph College Seminary to meet a particular need.  This year, the seminary is raising funds to create a statue in honor of our patron St. Joseph and the Divine Child.  This statue will be placed above the main entrance of the seminary, watching over the long driveway -  it will be the focal point for all who visit.  The statue will be placed on the central pedestal above the beautiful white oak doors:

Divine providence led me to the artist who has agreed to create this statue, Chas Fagan.  Please watch the video below to learn all about this singular project that will create a piece of sacred art for the ages.  My hope is that many will be inspired to deepen their devotion to St. Joseph when seeing this statue, and to a greater appreciation for the mystery of our Blessed Lord's earthly life and sacrifices.  Advent is a great time to not hurry, but to wait and see what the Lord will bring.

Who We Are

The Catholic faith in North Carolina is growing, and the need for priests to serve our growing flock is great. On March 19, 2016, Bishop Peter J. Jugis founded St. Joseph College Seminary to form priests in the diocese of Charlotte, among the people and parishes they will one day serve.

On September 15, 2020, Bishop Peter J. Jugis officially dedicated and blessed the new seminary building located in Mt. Holly, NC. We have come a long way thanks be to God and the generous friends who have provided everything that we need. With your continued support, our seminarians will emerge well formed, sanctified, and thus prepared to be the servant leaders we need.
