St. Mary of Moselle started as a mission parish in the fall of 1880. In 1905 the mission became an independent parish of St. Mary of Perpetual Help. Many of the current members are descendants of the thirteen families who first started the Mission of St. Mary. From the very start the parishioners had annual picnics. This annual picnic is continued on today.
