Stained Glass Preservation Project - Phase I

Honoring Our Past. Preserving Our Future.

As the parish communities of St. Gertrude and St. John the Baptist came together to form St. Michael the Archangel, we now have the opportunity to preserve one of the most sacred and meaningful elements of our shared history—the stained-glass windows of St. Gertrude.

What Phase I Includes:

  • Professional removal of stained-glass windows
  • Cataloging and labeling of 186 panels
  • Transportation to St. Michael the Archangel
  • Secure storage in an on-site container

Project Scope:

  • 10 biblical scenes (approx. 10 ft x 9 ft)
  • 1 Baptism of Christ window (16.5 ft x 21 ft)
  • Specialized removal due to height (~20 feet)

Future Vision:

These windows will one day be displayed at the St. Gertrude Cemetery and on the St. Michael the Archangel campus as lasting reminders of our faith and heritage.

How You Can Help:

We ask you to prayerfully consider making a contribution. Your support ensures these sacred works are preserved for future generations.

Phase I Goal: $50,000

Funds will support removal, transportation, and secure storage. A qualified contractor with extensive church experience has been selected.
