St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church

In 2025, we continued our capital campaign to help complete the funding of several items that need attention in our parish.  We have a total of seven projects to undertake, three of which have already been completed and two of which are on hold.  The remaining projects focus on our Education Building.

Project 1 – Connection of our septic systems (Church and Parish Hall) to the city sewer system (COMPLETED)
Project 2 – New signage and flagpoles at our main intersection (COMPLETED)
Project 3 – Fire and Security alarm system for the Our Lady of Grace (OLG) Education Building (IN PROGRESS)
Project 4 – Church lighting system repairs (ON HOLD)
Project 5 – OLG Education Building basement completion (IN PROGRESS)
Project 6* – Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel renovations for Relics display (COMPLETED)
Project 7 – Church bell system repairs (ON HOLD)

Thanks to generous donors, we are closer to meeting the capital campaign goal required to complete these projects.  The largest of these projects is the completion of the basement in our OLG Education Building, which will enable us to:

• Provide a safe space for adults and children to meet in one building and not risk children running across a busy parking lot
• Provide ample space for our teens and Youth Ministry to meet and feel welcome as they engage in parish life
• Begin offering Family Faith Formation on Sundays where families can work on building the Domestic Church
• Offer sacramental prep on Sundays as an option – currently we only have space on Wednesdays
• Offer more adult formation classes – based on parishioners wants and needs
• Offer space to hold parish missions, retreats, and talks
• Install updated technology to enhance interactive learning

We pray that the #iGiveCatholic program helps us achieve our fundraising goal, which is required to complete the OLG Education Building project.  This has been a major goal of our pastor Father Fabio since his arrival in 2012, one he wants to fulfill prior to his anticipated reassignment/departure next year.

* Project 6 Update:  On June 28, 2025, we unveiled our Relics Chapel containing 33 relics, including splinters from the Holy Cross, all donated from a parishioner with ties to Pope Innocent X.  Each relic is a first‑class relic containing a physical part of a saint, such as bone or hair. The only second-class relic in the collection is the cincture of St. Francis of Assisi.  In addition, several personal items belonging to Pope Innocent X are also on display.  Come visit our sacred Relics Chapel to spend time in prayer and devotion.
