At St. Rose of Lima Catholic Parish in Miami Shores, FL, we believe everyone should have a place to call home — a faith community where you are known, loved, and inspired to grow. Whether you are just visiting or looking for a deeper connection, our doors and hearts are wide open.

St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church is a welcoming and diverse community that celebrates the presence of Christ in Word and Sacrament.  Guided by the Holy Spirit and centered in the Eucharist, we strive to bring people closer to God and to one another in the spirit of faith, service and fellowship.  

Named after Saint Rose of Lima—born in Peru in 1586 and canonized as the first American saint—our parish honors her legacy of devotion and miracles. Her feast day is August 23rd, and she is symbolized by a crown of roses.

The current church was opened in 1961 with further additions completed soon after. In 2005, renovations included new flooring, an organ, sound system, and marble sanctuary, reflecting our commitment to honoring Jesus’ presence in our community. 2026 will mark another milestone for St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church as we begin a journey to improve the beauty and safety of our parish campus.

Installing impact doors in the church. These doors will include a push-bar lock system to enhance security and provide reliable protection against storms.

Replace existing church roof. Our church's beauty is beyond comparison. However, its age is beginning to show.  Our beautiful church is in need of a new roof.

Upgrade sound system in the church. Music in the liturgy is not just sound—it is prayer. The sound system enables our parish to express the beauty, dignity, and solemnity that the Mass deserves. 

These projects are important in maintaining our parish and protecting the safety of our parishioners.
