A Generation in Need - and a Place That Meets It
Today's youth face rising loneliness, anxiety, and disconnection.
25% of Catholics leave the faith by 18 years old. 40% of young people report feeling left out and alone, with no one they can turn to. Even more concerning, fewer youth are forming a real relationship with Christ or staying engaged with their faith, leaving them without the hope and identity that only He can give.
Camp gives them a place to rediscover true joy, purpose, and Christ's love for them. It's not just a week away. It is a launching point for lifelong faith and resilience. In order for us to meet the unique needs for our campers, we rely on community support to keep this ministry growing.
Each summer, thousands of young people step away from the noise and constant stimulation of the world to encounter Christ, build authentic friendships, and grow in confidence. This summer alone, we welcomed 3,336 campers under the leadership of 217 staff members. As camp continues to expand, we need your help in anchoring them in the things that really matter.
Leave a Lasting Impact
Amid today's loneliness and constant noise, today's young people are searching for meaning. At The Pines, we guide them to Christ.
Retreat away from technology and the busyness of the world: Campers leave behind technology, busy schedules, and outside pressures, stepping into a Christ-centered community where they are surrounded by those who are living for Christ and seeking Him in His church.
Integration of prayer and the sacraments into daily life: Prayer and the sacraments are woven into every day at camp, with priests and sisters living alongside campers to witness the joy of their vocations.
Developmentally appropriate independence: A week away from home helps campers grow in age-appropriate independence—whether it’s cleaning up after themselves, making new friends, or deepening their faith with confidence.
Unconventional and unique fun: From the zipline to Messy Warz, camp offers one-of-a-kind fun that creates lasting memories and points campers back to their encounter with Christ.
Every camper at The Pines encounters the Gospel through the rhythms of daily life at camp, but the heart of that encounter lies in stepping away from the constant demands, distractions, and pressures they face every day and entering a community centered on Christ.
In a world where busyness and surface‑level connections often crowd out what matters most, camp creates space for authentic friendships to grow and faith to take root. Here, priests and religious sisters offer spiritual guidance, lay leaders make the faith come alive, and staff are trained to lead with confidence across the ropes course, waterfront, and every corner of camp. Every gift brings us closer to a summer where even more campers are seen, known, and formed in faith. Help us raise $150,000 by September 18 to make Summer 2026 our most impactful yet.
