Support the Children of the Missionary Childhood Association This Giving Tuesday!
As Giving Tuesday approaches on December 2nd, we—the young missionaries of the Missionary Childhood Association (MCA) here in Los Angeles—invite you to join us once again in this global day of giving by supporting our mission through iGiveCatholic. This year, your support means the world to children in Vietnam who are growing in faith through the Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth Movement (TNTT)—and your generosity will also help us, MCA students, raise even more prayers and funds for our brothers and sisters across the ocean.
What Is the Missionary Childhood Association?
MCA is part of the Pope’s official mission—one of the Pontifical Mission Societies—that cares for children in mission dioceses around the world. Our motto, “Children Helping Children,” inspires us to become missionaries ourselves by learning, praying, and giving for kids who live in places where daily life is much harder. Through MCA, we work together as young Catholics to support children who may lack safe places to gather, catechetical materials, school supplies, and even regular meals. And yet, these children continue to trust Jesus with joyful hearts. We want to walk with them and help make their lives a little brighter.
Our Mission as Young Missionaries in Los Angeles
As MCA members here in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, we hold walk-a-thons, bake sales, prayer drives, and school fundraisers to bring hope to children living in mission territories. Every coin, every prayer, and every act of kindness helps us live out Jesus’ command to “love our neighbors.”
This year, all our efforts support the inspiring young missionaries of TNTT in Vietnam, where Catholics make up just 7% of the population, but the faith of children is vibrant and growing. Every week, TNTT students gather for prayer, catechesis, Eucharistic adoration, and service. They lead songs at Mass, organize acts of charity, and share God’s love with their families and neighbors. Through TNTT, more than 500,000 children across Vietnam are learning to center their lives on Jesus. One 12-year-old shared a message that touched our hearts:
“To be without hope is to be without God. To have Jesus Christ in our lives is to have hope.”
We want to help them keep that hope alive.
How Your Gift Makes a Difference This Giving Tuesday
When you give to iGiveCatholic on December 2nd, you’re helping us make an even greater impact. Each year, your generosity inspires thousands of young people who gather at our MCA Youth Appreciation Mass—the largest children’s Mass in the country! It’s a beautiful day filled with unity, song, mission activities, and awards celebrating young missionaries who give from the heart.
Your donation this year will:
- Support faith formation for children in Vietnam
- Provide leadership training for young TNTT missionaries
- Help MCA children in Los Angeles strengthen their own missionary outreach
- Spread hope across borders through the love of Jesus
