Bishop Michael J. Murphy Residence for Retired Priests

A nonprofit organization

The Bishop Michael J. Murphy Residence for Retired Priests (MJM Residence) is located at 400 East Gore Road, Erie, PA.  It was built in 1991 as an Independent Living Facility for retired priests who served the Diocese of Erie.  It has ten individual suites for the priests to reside, and as with any building thirty years old, there are a number of capital improvements needed.  Our plan over the last few years has been to renovate all of the resident bathrooms as funds would allow, and thanks to so many generous donations, those renovations have been completed!  Our next hope is to replace all of the original window treatments in the building which are now deteriorating.  In addition, the residents would be grateful for the conversion of a first floor room into an exercise room.  The equipment is currently in the basement and difficult to get to for those who struggle with stairs.  Gifts of any amount are greatly appreciated by those priests who have dedicated their lives to us.
