Protect What Matters Most
This Giving Tuesday, help us make Blessed Sacrament Catholic School a safer place for every child.
At Blessed Sacrament, our students are at the heart of everything we do. This year, your Giving Tuesday gift will go directly toward funding a dedicated school security guard — a vital addition to ensure that every student, teacher, and visitor feels safe and protected on our campus.
Your support will:
Provide a full-time security presence on campus to monitor entrances, support our staff, and maintain a peaceful, secure environment.
Strengthen our emergency preparedness and safety procedures, ensuring our school community is always ready and protected.
Offer peace of mind to our families, knowing that our students are learning and growing in a safe, watchful environment.
Your generosity makes all the difference.Together, we can safeguard our students and staff — the heart of Blessed Sacrament — and ensure that our school remains not only a place of learning, but a place of protection, care, and faith.
This Giving Tuesday, let’s stand together to protect what matters most.
Did you know that, if you are at least 70½ years old, you can make tax-free charitable donations directly from your IRA? By making what's called a qualified charitable distribution (QCD), you can benefit your favorite charity while excluding up to $105,000 in 2024 from gross income. These gifts, also known as "charitable IRA rollovers," would otherwise be taxable IRA distributions.
Blessed Sacrament Catholic School (BSCS) was established in 1948 by Monsignor John McCarthy, who is known for having said, “A church without a school is only half a church.” Thus, BSCS became the parish school of Blessed Sacrament Parish. From its beginning and until June 2013, the Sisters of Saints Cyril and Methodius had a continued presence at BSCS.
BSCS serves students academically in K3-8th grades and areas of academic support, art, computer, library, music, physical education and Spanish. High school credit for Algebra I and Spanish I is offered to qualifying 8th graders. The curriculum standards are developed by the Diocese of Charleston. BSCS is accredited by the Diocese of Charleston through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA).
BSCS is focused on educating each student by emphasizing our Catholic faith and upholding academic excellence through engaging the mind, challenging the body, and enlightening the soul – helping students reach their God-given potential.
