Catholic Campus Ministry is moving into a new home that will provide a better space and location to better serve the college students! This new location needs some work before it can be the dynamic ministry space that we envision.
Below you will find a list of expenses related to the new building. These are important projects and items are needed to make our new building a home for the students of Longwood and Hampden-Sydney.
Our goal for this event is $10,000 and with your help we know we can make it. Help us spread the word! Below is a picture of the outside of our new facility as well as two pictures that show our need for expansion.
New Building Costs:
$75,000 - Renovations
$25,000 - New HVAC System
$2,500 - New Furniture
$1,500 - Entertainment (TV and Ping pong/pool table)
$1,500 - Outdoor Signs
$500 - Hardware/Fixtures

"Growth is the only evidence of life."
- St. John Henry Newman, Patron Saint of Campus Ministry
By the logic of a saint, our campus ministry is ALIVE!
Life and activity have returned to our campuses here in Farmville as we have adapted to Catholic college life in our new era. Our campus ministry schedule has been accordingly, blessedly, beautifully full.
Beyond the calendar, it is a joy to see life in the faces of our students - alive with laughter at Wednesday Night Dinner or game night and alive with love for our Lord at weekly Mass, Adoration, small group, and other CCM events.
The challenges are not over, but we serve a God of the living, and His Spirit is on the move here.
We hope when students enter our ministry, they find the beauty of a life fully lived. We hope they find a welcoming home. We hope they find a community in which they feel received, loved, challenged, and formed towards sainthood. We hope they encounter Christ in a new and transformative way.
To accomplish this, we need your help. Here are some of the things our ministry is doing and building:
Fall Retreat: This is the biggest event our ministry will have all semester. We had our Fall Retreat for a 24-hour retreat filled with keynote talks, small groups, Adoration, fellowship, and lots of fun. To allow as many students as possible to participate in this retreat, the cost is heavily subsidized by CCM.
Sacraments: We offer Weekly Mass and Confession in our CCM facility, as well as an hour of Adoration on the Hampden Sydney campus.
Wednesday Night Dinner: This is our biggest weekly event! We provide a full (and absolutely free!) meal to students who gather at CCM to be nourished body and soul. Our dinners are always accompanied by a talk on some aspect of the faith or some other faith related activity.
Bible Study/Small Groups: We offer Bible Study and Small Group Opportunities as often as possible for our students. Also, our campus minister, Dan Holland, offers one on one discipleship.
There is an intense desire for the Lord among our students, and we continue to find new ways to feed and channel that desire here in our ministry. Your support gives us the power to do so. Thank you!
