Catholic Foundation of the South Plains

The Catholic Foundation of the South Plains is dedicated to assisting Catholics in living out the sacred mission of the Church. Through your contributions, we provide ongoing financial support for the spiritual, educational, and social needs of our Catholic community, focusing on both present and future generations. Our commitment extends to preserving our Church, saving for what lies ahead, and ensuring a lasting legacy.  We fully honor and respect the wishes of our donors in providing long term sustainability for fulfilling the mission of the Catholic Foundation.  We attract, professionally manage and invest gifts to support the current and long-term financial needs of parishes, schools, charities, and other ministries.  Donors to the Catholic Foundation can have confidence that their contributions are invested in a socially responsible manner, in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.

From our long-term investments,  $111,000 was awarded last year for church and school building and equipment upgrades, retreat center supplies, youth leadership, immigration assistance, and scholarships for retreat participants.  The Catholic Diocese of Lubbock provided funds to assist 25 rural parishes with pastoral salaries and insurance expenses.   Additionally, the assistance from our designated/named endowments provided grants for the St. Frances Sisters, maintenance for the cemetery at Sacred Heart in Littlefield, Catholic Charities Emergency Fund, seminarian education and Christ the King Diocesan High School.  Donor advised distributions to support Catholic school endowments and seminarian education totaled $16,000.  100% of gifts to the Catholic Foundation in our last fiscal year, from June 2023 to July 2024, were invested in long term funds and will pay dividends to our Catholic community for years to come. All funds are invested according to the Church's moral and social teachings.
