Help Us Build a New Home for Hope and Service

This Giving Tuesday, join Catholic Charities in making a transformational difference for those in need. All gifts made through our iGiveCatholic campaign will be dedicated to the creation of the new Catholic Charities Center, located in the heart of Houma next to Vandebilt Catholic and Second Harvest Food Bank.  

This new facility will honor the legacy of the late Most Rev. Mario E. Dorsonville, the 5th Bishop of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, who devoted much of his ministry to serving the most vulnerable. Conveniently located on a bus route, the center will provide easy access for individuals and families in need of essential support and services.  

Our current building is in disrepair, and this new center is critical to our ability to serve the community effectively. The total cost of the project is $1.5 million, and thanks to the generosity of Bishop Dorsonville’s family and friends, more than $1 million has already been committed. Your support will help us close the gap and make this vital project a reality.
