The Road to Opportunity: Help Us Replace "The Soaring Eagle"

At Central Catholic, our mission is to nurture the whole student—body, mind, and spirit—from their first day in PK3 until they walk across the graduation stage. And for every field trip, every athletic game, and every service day, there is one critical component: the bus.

Right now, our beloved, aging vehicle, affectionately known as "The Soaring Eagle," is nearing the end of its road. It has served us faithfully for "over a decade", but its frequent maintenance needs and advancing age are causing anxiety and costly delays. We need to secure safe, modern, and reliable transportation so that our students can focus on the journey, not worry about the breakdown.

The Bridge to Competition and Discovery

A school bus isn't just a vehicle; it’s a classroom on wheels, a moving huddle spot, and a secure sanctuary. When you invest in a new bus, you are investing in two vital areas of our student life:

1. Empowering Our Athletes (Grades 5-12)

For our student athletes, the bus is the start and end of every challenge. It carries them hundreds of miles each season to compete and represent our school. When the bus is unreliable, it adds unnecessary stress to coaches and delays their return home, often late at night. A new bus ensures:

• Peace of Mind: Coaches and parents will have confidence in the vehicle's safety features and performance.

• Focus on the Game: Athletes can rest and prepare in a comfortable environment, arriving focused and ready to play.

• Reliable Returns: Guaranteeing our students get back to campus efficiently and safely after late-night competitions.

2. Enriching Our Learners (PK3-12)

Field trips are essential for hands-on learning, offering experiences that simply can’t happen within the classroom walls. From our youngest students visiting the pumpkin patch, to our middle schoolers exploring historical sites, to our high schoolers attending retreats—every mile is part of their education.

A new bus means we can expand these critical enrichment opportunities for all 550+ students, knowing the vehicle is equipped with modern safety technology and air conditioning for every single passenger, ensuring comfort and accessibility for everyone.

Our Goal: A Safer, Stronger Future

This iGive Catholic Day, we are seeking to raise $100,000 toward the purchase of a new or late-model, low-mileage bus. Every dollar donated here goes directly to securing this essential asset for our entire school community.

Who We Are

In the tradition of the Marianites the mission of Central Catholic is to foster a Christ-centered atmosphere focusing on faith formation, academic excellence, leadership, and service.

Central Catholic offers an excellent academic curriculum in grades Pre-K3 through 12th grade, which has God’s word, community building, worship, and social service integrated within all areas. We are called to model Jesus as we encourage self-respect among all members of our community, recognize the uniqueness of each child, and enable an academic and spiritually enriching atmosphere permeated with God’s message of love. In continuing to build the kingdom of God on earth, we follow the sacred traditions and teaching of the Catholic Church.
