CTK's LOCAL MISSION PARTNERSHIP: THE SISTERS OF SAINT JOSEPH CENTER IN CAMDEN

This local mission is focused on "the Neighbors", a community of Latino immigrants served by the SSJNC in the Cramer Hill section of Camden.  By committing the personal and financial resources of Christ the King to this community, we are investing in the future of our country and building the Kingdom of God. It is through relationship and personal connection that it will transform the lives of all involved in this mission.

Rooted in a love of God and neighbor without distinction, the Sisters of Saint Joseph Neighborhood Center offers opportunities for connection, enrichment, and empowerment.

Committed to honoring the dignity of each person, and intent on bettering each Neighbor, the Center proudly offers: Weekly ESL and citizenship classes, M.A.M.I.S a bi-monthly class offered to young mothers that is facilitated by a member of the Camden County Family and Social Services, and Sewing and Crocheting classes that teach the neighbors self sufficiency for some of their clothing and household needs. Understanding that family needs are often of an immediate nature, the Center: Opens their monthly food pantry to over 300 families, Provides diapers and wipes to over 500 families, Administers free eye screening, and arranges for free glasses through a partnership program.

How Will Your Donations be Used?

1. Utility Bills and Rent: For working Neighbors
2. Attorney Fees: For immigration services and fees, work authorization cards, passports.
3. Gift Cards:  By providing our vetted Neighbors with gift cards to merchants such as Walmart and Target, we are empowering them to make decisions on family purchases that they may otherwise not have the opportunity for.
