At Cristo Rey Fort Worth, we believe that zip codes should never determine destinies. Our students come from households with limited financial means—but unlimited potential. Through a unique blend of rigorous academics, real-world work experience, and a deeply supportive community, we’re helping young people transform their futures.

Cristo Rey Fort Worth opened its doors in 2018 with one goal: to prepare students from under-resourced communities to thrive in college, in career, and in life. Backed by more than 25 years of impact across the national Cristo Rey Network—with 41 schools nationwide—we are a Catholic learning community that reimagines what’s possible for students in Fort Worth.

Every Cristo Rey Fort Worth student participates in the innovative Corporate Work Study Program, working five days a month in a professional setting. This not only offsets the cost of tuition—it equips our students with the confidence, skills, and experience they need to succeed beyond high school. It’s a game-changer.

And it works.

In 2022, we celebrated a major milestone: our first graduating class—and 100% of our graduates were accepted to college. Many were the first in their families to achieve that goal. Since then, our students have continued to raise the bar, with each class carrying forward that 100% college acceptance legacy. In 2026, Cristo Rey Fort Worth will serve our largest-ever student body—and continue to help our alumni thrive in college and their careers.

Cristo Rey Fort Worth exists for students who are full of potential but too often overlooked. They come from families with limited financial means—but they show up each day with resilience, ambition, and a determination to build something better for themselves and their communities.

The barriers they face have nothing to do with ability—and everything to do with inequity in education and economics:

Nearly 1 in 6 residents in Fort Worth lives below the poverty line.

• Two-thirds of children grow up in homes without a college graduate.
• Students classified as “economically disadvantaged” are 35% more likely to drop out of high school.
• In Texas, 1 in 4 Black and Latino students does not complete high school.

Cristo Rey Fort Worth is rewriting that story. Every day, we walk alongside students who are changing their futures—and their families’ futures.

They come to us with drive, with heart, and with dreams of becoming nurses, engineers, architects, lawyers, entrepreneurs. But their paths are not easy ones.

Here, students are surrounded by teachers, mentors, and a network of corporate partners who believe in their ability and walk beside them every step of the way.
