Encountering Jesus Christ at UMD!

The Catholic Student Center aka the "CSC" serves the next generation of Catholics and forms them to become leaders grounded in faith. Because of your generosity, students are invited to be known, loved, and transformed through an encounter with Jesus Christ - and in turn, students invite others on campus to do the same.

Through the prayers and support of donors, parents, alumni, and community we are able to provide the following:

• Daily Mass & Confession, Sunday Mass, and Eucharistic Adoration
• Impactful small group Bible Studies (over 30 separate studies this year!)
• Service Opportunities: encounter Christ with the poor in the DC/Baltimore Metro area, international service with the poor in Mexico City
• In-person retreats where students can dive deeper in their faith (including a fall silent retreat)
• Providing an open place for students to study, meet and relax (students call CSC 'home')
• Discipleship & holy friendship through our campus ministry team
• Vibrant OCIA program with over 40 individuals this year, interested in learning about the Catholic Faith in a welcoming environment
• Wednesday Night Dinner! A weekly dinner party that brings 200-250 students together for mass, food and fellowship!

"We have been blessed to be associated with the University of Maryland Catholic Student Center for the past fifteen years... "

"We started going to the CSC for Sunday Mass when our children were in grade school and high school. We noticed the impact this had on us as we witnessed college students so faithfully celebrating Mass, welcoming us, and courageously living and sharing their Catholic faith. Fast forward to present where Brendan (Class of 2019) is a religion teacher, Colin (Class of 2022) is a FOCUS Missionary at WVU, Mary (Class of 2024) is a FOCUS Missionary at George Mason University, and Kyleigh is a junior (Class of 2027) who attends Sunday Mass, bible study and CSC events. The friendships our children have developed through the CSC have helped them to grow in their faith and strengthen their desire to share their faith. We thank God for the many blessings over these past years and pray that the CSC continues to thrive and help the students at the UMD."

Centered on Christ, Catholic Terps invites the University of Maryland community to know, love, and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the Sacraments along with service, spiritual and social encounters. We are a home away from home to thousands of students, as well as faculty and staff at the University of Maryland in College Park.
