The mission of Christ the King Catholic Church is simple and powerful: to bring souls to Christ and glorify God here on the campus of Louisiana State University. That’s why we’re planted firmly on the corner of Highland Road and Dalrymple Drive — to be a beacon of faith in the heart of LSU. 

In recent years, more and more students have found a true spiritual home at Christ the King — their “home away from home.” Last year alone, we celebrated 17 adult baptisms, nearly 50 confirmations, and welcomed over 800 students into Bible studies. Jesus Christ is alive and at work on this campus, transforming lives and drawing hearts closer to Him.

A major part of this incredible growth comes through our partnership with Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS). Our seven FOCUS missionaries pour their hearts into serving the students who already come to Christ the King, while also equipping them to reach out to the 8,000 Catholic students — and 30,000 others — still waiting to encounter Christ’s love. There’s no doubt: Christ the King would not be the thriving community it is today without FOCUS.

While our missionaries fundraise their own salaries, FOCUS asks each campus to contribute a “campus fee” to help sustain the mission. For us, that fee is $112,500. We invite you to join us in keeping FOCUS missionaries on our campus and continuing the incredible work God is doing at LSU!
