Why DORS Matters

The Diocese of Reno Scholarship (DORS) is a powerful expression of our Catholic mission—making faith-based education accessible to K–12 students from families facing financial hardship. DORS nurtures academic excellence, spiritual growth, and community values, to form Christ in the lives of students and prepares them to live out their faith in the world.

Impact Over Time

Since its founding in 2010, DORS has provided tuition assistance to 439 students, with 44 more scholars joining this year across six Catholic schools in Northern Nevada. In the past five years alone, 24 graduates have completed their Catholic education and are now carrying those values into adulthood. As tuition costs rise, so does the need, and DORS continues to meet it with your help.
