Daughters of St Paul

For over 50 years, Jesus has been living in a convent bookstore on Veterans (across from Clearview). The chapel offers his Eucharistic presence, while the bookstore offers his Word in a variety of formats to respond to the questions, desires, hopes and needs of the people who visit or call. And the convent? Well, that’s home for the #MediaNuns, the Daughters of St. Paul. It’s our mission to use every form of media to bring Jesus to people, and people to Jesus. We sisters not only serve in the bookstore, but we also provide spiritual formation and prayer support online to thousands of people around the the world. It's a mission that was made to be shared with others!

This year, join the Daughters of St. Paul choir in putting on an evangelization experience like no other. The Sisters' Christmas program has touched hearts deeply over the years: people have returned to the sacraments, hearts wounded by grief have found comfort, and families have enjoyed a unique moment of togetherness centered on Jesus.

A full list of sponsorship opportunities is on our campaign page. Please consider being an "Angel Sponsor" by contributing $500 toward the air travel for one Sister Fay, asking for a plane ticket so she can sing for you.of the sisters (seven singers, plus our two "tech" sisters). Angel sponsors receive four tickets to the concert, so you can bring that special someone who really needs a Christmas full of Jesus.

Besides being an extraordinarily powerful faith event for the whole family, the Christmas concert is also the Sisters' principal fundraiser. This year, your gift will keep the sisters healthy and ready to serve: The convent air conditioning unit has been failing repeatedly. It will need to be replaced by spring, at a cost of $13,000.00. We hope that this year's concert sponsors will both provide the means for us to put on the full Christmas program for a capacity crowd, and take care of that failing AC so that the sisters stay cool and healthy all year long.

Can't be a sponsor this year? Your gift in any amount supports our media mission in the Gulf South. Be assured: you don't have to be a sponsor to attend the Christmas concert! Tickets are on sale now (and tickets for children under age 12 are free!) Call the Metairie book center (504-887-7631), or go to Pauline.org/concert for tickets.

If you would like to meet us in person, come visit us at Pauline Books & Media, 4403 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA 70006 or call (504) 877-7631. On Facebook, look for Ask a Catholic Nun or (for local events) pbmnola.

Who We Are

The Daughters of St. Paul is an international Catholic religious congregation founded in 1915 in Italy that lives and works in 52 countries around the world and is dedicated to the apostolate of proclaiming Christ through the use of media. Their motto: "one love, Jesus Christ; one burning desire, to give Him to souls." They share the light of Christ through their Pauline Book and Media Centers, (in the NOLA area, at 4403 Veterans Memorial Blvd.), media education centers, radio programs and internet channels, and related institutions across the globe. The Sisters also put on a coast-to-coast Christmas concert tour that attracts thousands, as well as making themselves available to bring vocation talks, faith formation presentations and lively book fairs to parishes and schools.
