Who We Are

The Office of Youth Ministry exists to form disciples and raise up leaders in our Church. Our mission is to equip, catechize, and walk alongside youth ministers, young leaders, and the youth they serve—so that all may be drawn more fully into the life and mission of Jesus Christ.

We serve parishes throughout the Diocese of Knoxville by offering retreats, conferences, formation opportunities, middle school and high school programming, and direct support for youth ministers. Our goal is to create spaces where young people can encounter Jesus, grow in community, and deepen their call to missionary discipleship.

Each year, our office plans and hosts events that have a profound impact on the spiritual lives of young people across East Tennessee, including:

• SEARCH for Christian Maturity

• God Camp

• Steubenville Youth Conference

• NCYC (National Catholic Youth Conference)

• Tau House Mission Trip

• Middle School Service Weeks (Serve4)

These programs give young people a chance to encounter Christ, form lasting friendships, and grow in their identity as disciples.

However, the cost to provide these opportunities continues to rise—food, venues, materials, transportation, and supplies have all increased significantly. Your gift helps ensure that registration fees remain affordable for every family and parish.
