Office of Christian Formation, Diocese of St. Augustine

The Office of Christian Formation (OCF) is tasked with providing formation resources and training to all of the entities of the Diocese of St. Augustine.  There have been many areas of focus over the last couple of years.  These include:  family formation, training for lay leaders, and formation for persons with disabilities.  At this time, we are seeking to raise money for a formation conference to be held in April that will focus on providing skills and resources for those who serve this population in the Catholic Church.  This conference, In God's Image, is being partially funded through a Lilly Grant and it will be provided bilingually.  It will focus on several keys areas wherein people have expressed a need for help:  working with autistic children and adults, adaptive classroom ideas, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and the welcoming parish.

The Office of Christian Formation is teaming with the National Catholic Partnership on Disability (NCPD) to provide this opportunity to the northeast Florida area.  The conference will be held on Friday, April 24 and Saturday April 25 at St. Joseph Parish.  A variety of resources will be made available for the attendees of this conference.  Some materials will also be for sale.
