This year, E. D. White Catholic High School is proud to participate in iGiveCatholic, a day when our community comes together to support the people, programs, and mission of the organizations we care about most.

This year, your gift to E. D. White will help establish the E. D. White Recovery Fund - a dedicated resource that will help us prepare today for the financial impact of tomorrow’s disaster.

We know firsthand that the effects of a disaster can reach far beyond the initial storm. Following past hurricanes, E. D. White experienced damage that required the complete replacement of the Preston LeJeune Gym floor, as well as the rebuilding of the visitors’ dugout at our baseball field after a tornado associated with the storm caused significant damage. We were incredibly grateful for the generosity of our Cardinal community, whose support helped us recover and restore these important spaces.

While the impact to E. D. White was not as substantial as the damage experienced by other schools and church parishes throughout our diocese, past storms reminded us that we cannot take our preparedness for granted. We want to be ready should E. D. White ever experience similar or more significant effects from a future disaster.

The E. D. White Recovery Fund will establish dedicated reserves to help cover insurance deductibles and other eligible disaster-related expenses that are uninsured or underinsured. Having these resources in place will allow us to respond more quickly when unexpected challenges arise and help protect the financial stability of our school.
