INSPIRING HEARTS AND MINDS

Navigating the landscape of a college campus presents unique trials for students, particularly when it comes to preserving and deepening their faith. From the inception of their campus journey to long after graduation, students encounter many challenges that may shake the foundations of their beliefs. Recognizing the pivotal role that a Catholic college ministry plays in supporting students during these critical moments, we emphasize the significance of providing a sanctuary where they can seek solace and find answers to the profound questions that arise.

SUPPORT OUR MISSION TODAY

Your generosity will help us meet our goal of $20,000 to:

- Support our General Fund, which provides for everything from bread and wine for Mass and meals for students to salaries, utilities, building maintenance, and much more.
- Update upstairs furnishings to provide students with spaces more condusive to gathering for study and faith formation
- Decorate our indoor welcoming space where students gather for prayer, fellowship, and formation opportunities with artwork, photographs, icons, and more.
- Provide faith formation materials and subsidize retreat costs for students entering the Catholic Church and exploring their faith more deeply.

OUR FINANCIAL REALITY

Only because of friends like you can we continue serving the community's spiritual needs. While the Archdiocese of Atlanta has generously helped the University Catholic Center with a significant portion of our overhead this year, we ultimately rely on donations and collections for our programming and ministry. As you can imagine, most university students are not normally able to contribute much financially. Their budgets are already stretched.

The University Catholic Center serves as the pastoral and educational center for Emory University, Oxford College, and Agnes Scott College. We exist to complement students' secular education with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and help students become mature Catholic adults able to live faithful and moral lives. Since 1967, Catholic students have gathered at the University Catholic Center to form lasting friendships and find numerous ways to draw closer to Jesus through their faith. We are blessed to have an outstanding Catholic student community, propelled forward by the inspiration, ideas, interests, gifts, and talents of new students year after year. Our ministry is a beacon of faith on campus, providing a haven where students can explore, question, and deepen their relationship with God within the supportive embrace of a like-minded community. Through this collective journey, we aspire to equip students with the answers to their immediate questions and the enduring strength to navigate the complexities of life while remaining firmly rooted in their faith.

We joyfully welcome you to join us at one of our many ongoing events! We would love the opportunity to meet and get to know you. You are always welcome to come by the house for daily Mass, to stop by the office to say hello, to grab a free cup of coffee and relax in our cozy living room, or stop by the chapel to pray before the Blessed Sacrament!
