At the Catholic Charities Good Samaritan Food Bank and Thrift Store of Raceland, we believe in the dignity of every individual. Our mission is simple yet vital — to provide essential support to our neighbors facing difficult times. Each month, we serve more than 170 families, offering food, household items, and personal hygiene supplies to those in need.

In today’s challenging financial and political climate, the number of families who turn to us continues to grow. We remain committed to ensuring that no one in our community goes without the basic necessities that uphold their health, hygiene, and self-worth.

🧺 Our #iGiveCatholic Goal: $10,000 for Donation Collection Bins

Our thrift store plays a critical role in funding our food bank. Every item donated and sold helps keep our shelves stocked and our doors open to those in need.

However, we currently face a growing challenge — we have no secure area to collect donations after hours. Many generous donors leave items outside our facility when we are closed, and unfortunately, these items are often damaged by weather or stolen before staff can bring them inside.

Your #iGiveCatholic gift will help us raise $10,000 to purchase our first three secure donation collection bins. These bins will ensure that every donation — every act of generosity — is protected and put to good use supporting the food bank and those we serve.
