Good Shepherd Catholic Church

After years of exposure to time, the scorching summer sun, and the elements, the front doors are no longer the welcoming entrance Good Shepherd deserves.  Although we have recently had two incredible volunteers dedicate their time and effort to sanding, priming, and painting them, we know this work will not be enough to last for years to come.  We now face the need to replace them entirely. 

We're reaching out to you, our community, to help us raise the funds necessary to install new, doors that will better protect and welcome everyone who enters our church.

Who We Are

Good Shepherd is partnering with Christ the King School in KCK for #iGiveCatholic this year. The school is in need of a new server and 30 new computers to update one of its two computer labs. The students are now using 10 - 15-year-old computers that cannot be updated anymore!

Christ the King school has been serving students in Wyandotte County for over 75 years. In that time, the demographics have dramatically changed. More than 70% of the students qualify for free or reduced lunch prices according to federal income guidelines. Despite the challenges associated with a low socioeconomic constituency, the school excels in education and has been named the 2018-19 Catholic Education Foundation and Joseph F. Naumann School of Excellence.

Help us replace their computers and prepare their students for success in the world of Tomorrow. The need is 30 computers, $1,000 per computer - approximately $30,000 for the entire lab. A new server costs $5,415. We ask for your generosity to help these deserving students!
