Good Shepherd Catholic Church (Lebanon, Virginia)

Project: Remodle Church Restroom - Goal $5,000.
Thank you to all who gave so generously last year to assist our Good Shepherd Catholic Church give a new coat of paint to the outside of our church. 
Back in the 1950's when the church was built by parishioners and Glenmary Mission priests and brothers additional living space was connected to the church. In the 1980’s a house was purchased to serve as the rectory. Eventually the kitchen and living areas connected to the church were renovated and used as classrooms and an area for reconciliation. However, the bathroom still has that 1950 look, with its mint green tile and bathtub with sliding glass door.
Sometime ago a visiting possible benefactor asked if we had ever thought of remodeling the bathroom. We were asked to get an estimate on the cost of fixing up the outdated bathroom. The small sink sprayed water when you washed your hands, but a couple years ago a replacement commode was purchased by a generous parishioner and just recently the electrical outlet was updated with a GFCI (ground fault circuit interruption) in response to a recent Diocesan safety inspection.
Parishioners started getting excited talking with a contractor, getting an estimate, hearing his plan to remove the tub (of course) and tear out the large closet, and replacing the sink with a vanity where supplies could be stored. The lighting which is bad would be updated and the tile walls would be replaced with sheetrock/drywall. Labor would be approximately $2,800 depending upon what was in the wall behind the shower. What did they do in the 1950’s?
It would be up to the church on how much they wanted to spend on the sink and tile which could vary total project cost greatly.
With a total projected cost of $5,000 and excitement building for our new modern bathroom parishioners waited with anticipation. After a time, It was finally decided we needed to raise these funds ourselves. Thus, iGiveCatholic.
