Holy Angels Academy

At Holy Angels Academy, beauty is not decoration. It is a part of how we teach. A child who prays before a crucifix, sings from a hymnal, and studies beneath a painting of the saints is learning what is true and good by seeing what is beautiful. We're blessed to have our building. Last year your generosity set us on a path to declutter and open a classroom that has been used for storage. This year, we are asking you to help us fill our rooms with beauty: sacred art for our hallways and classroom, new hymnals for our chapel, proper seating for the cafeteria, desks that fit every student, and care for the organ that leads our singing. Every gift, of any size, makes room for beauty.

About Us

Holy Angels Academy was founded in 1973 by Sister Mary Elise Groves, O.P. and a few lay

faithful to serve the community of Louisville, KY as an independent Catholic school. We are

unique from most Catholic schools in that we are not connected to a parish and do not have the

financial support that comes with a parish church and community. Furthermore, Holy Angels

Academy is committed to admitting qualified students regardless of the financial means of their

families. This means our school depends on generous individuals like you to make ends meet!

Holy Angels Academy enrolls students from preschool through Grade 12, partnering with

parents in the education and formation of their children from their earliest stages all the way

through their launch into adulthood.

We are dedicated to the philosophy of educating and forming the whole person – body, mind, and spirit. Our school utilizes a classical and Catholic curriculum that focuses on training our students to pursue truth in all things. It is our emphasis on the beauty of the Catholic Faith and the joy that comes from living a virtuous life that orients our students rightly toward the ultimate good – our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. At Holy Angels, we are proud to say that our students learn from teachers, not tablets. Using tried and true methods of education for over 50 years, we continue to successfully prepare our students for the vocations God has in store for them after life at Holy Angels Academy.

With your generous contribution today, you will be partnering with Holy Angels to prepare more

students to lead holy and honorable lives for God and country, and thus attain the end for which

they were created, that is, eternal happiness with God. May our Lord abundantly bless you and your loved ones!
