Loving Our Neighbors in Need

Holy Spirit is proud to highlight our parish's St. Vincent de Paul ministry as our designee for iGiveCatholic 2025. At St. Vincent de Paul Holy Spirit, we are more than a ministry—we are neighbors helping neighbors. Rooted in the spirit of compassion and guided by the teachings of Christ, our mission is simple yet profound: to Love Our Neighbor by offering tangible support and restoring hope to those experiencing hardship in our community.

Through personal, one-on-one interactions, our Vincentians build relationships with neighbors in need. We offer a listening ear and immediate assistance, whether it’s providing food, covering utility bills, offering rent support, or simply giving a bus pass to help someone get to work. Each encounter is driven by a desire to uplift the dignity of every person, helping them regain stability and independence.

Our work is powered by the dedication of trained Vincentians, volunteers who devote their time and hearts to understanding the unique challenges faced by our neighbors. Together, we aim not just to address immediate needs but to walk alongside families, helping them find long-term solutions and brighter futures.

At SVDP Holy Spirit, we believe that loving our neighbor means more than providing material aid—it’s about offering friendship, respect, and a community of support. Every donation, prayer, and act of service strengthens our mission, allowing us to continue being a beacon of hope for those facing life’s most difficult challenges.

  A $25 donation can provide a MARTA bus pass, ensuring our neighbors have reliable transportation to get to work, attend medical appointments, or access vital services. Your gift helps them stay mobile and independent.

  With a $100 donation, you can provide a grocery gift card to a family in need. Your generosity ensures that no one in our community goes hungry, especially during difficult times.

  OnA $250 donation can help cover utility bills for a family struggling to make ends meet. Your support keeps their home warm, safe, and powered, bringing peace of mind in a time of need.
  
  
• $500 – Prevent Eviction
  A $500 donation can be a lifeline for a neighbor facing eviction. By contributing to their rent, you help prevent homelessness and offer hope to those who need it most.
