Holy Trinity Preschool and Learning Center

A nonprofit organization

Who We Are

Holy Trinity Learning Center was established in 2005 in the facilities of the former Holy Trinity Catholic School in Harlan, KY. The HTLC serves the educational needs of children in Harlan and neighboring Bell County, from preK through high school by a quality school readiness experience for preschoolers and supportive, individualized tutoring to help students succeed in their classroom studies. The HTLC offers preschool instruction three days per week and after school tutoring four days per week, staffed by certified teachers. All participants pay at least some fee for service, with financial aid available.

Funds will be used to subsidize tuition fees for an additional 20 low income students seeking after school tutoring or preschool classes at Holy Trinity Learning Center. Due to the loss of coal jobs and the recent struggle to recover back pay from bounced checks, the local economy is depressed. Fund raisers bring in less money and families are reluctant to commit to programs at the Learning Center, even though the fees are kept as low as possible. With more funds available for scholarships, the Center can provide additional financial aid, increasing the number of children who will benefit from the Center’s critical educational support.
