🌪️ From Devastation to Dedication

In August 2021, Hurricane Ida struck our beloved Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport, Louisiana, leaving our sacred "Big Church" severely damaged. Since that day, we’ve gathered in the "Little Church," praying, planning, and patiently rebuilding not just a structure — but the spiritual heart of our community.

 After years of faith, resilience, and hard work, we’re excited to share that the rededication of the "Big Church" is scheduled for March 2026. With your help, we can cross the finish line.

 Your incredible generosity has already secured comfort and beauty for countless services to come. But the spirit of giving doesn't have to stop there!

We have some other meaningful naming opportunities for you to leave a lasting mark on our Altar and Nave space:

• Restoring the Altar Chairs: You can contribute to restoring our two small chairs for $400 each, or our large central chair for $500.
• Restoring the Baptismal Font: A significant opportunity to preserve a sacramental focal point for $1,500.
• Unique Standing Cross Mementos: We have been blessed by local artisans who have transformed our old pews and original altar-rail marble into beautiful mementos, allowing the history of our church to live on in your homes for $100 each. See the picture below.
