Howard University Bison Catholic Campus Ministry

We are the Catholic Campus Ministry at Howard University. As a recognized student organization, we offer a community for students to learn about the Catholic Faith and participate in its traditions and worship. We are dedicated to sharing the word of God, deepening our relationship with Jesus Christ, and forming the next generation of Black Catholic leaders to unleash the Gospel in our world.

How does your gift help our Catholic ministry bring Christ 

to Howard University?

- Daily and weekly Sunday Masses and Confession

- Weekly Eucharistic adoration and fellowship nights

- Weekly Bible studies (5 current studies this semester)

- Pilgrimages to local and international shrines and holy sites

- Bringing Catholic speakers to campus

- Semester retreats to encounter Christ in a real way

- Discipleship and Formation programs with campus ministry team to grow in their walk with Christ

- Active OCIA program for those needing their sacraments and learning about the faith

- Opportunities for service in the community 

- Social events to grow in authentic and intentional friendship

- Participating in activities around the Archdiocese of Washington

This year, we welcomed four FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students) missionaries who serve in our ministry by leading Bible studies, outreach activities, and being a witness to the Christian life of discipleship.  We will also attend the SEEK26 Conference in Columbus, Ohio, in January 2026, joining over 17,000 college students, young people, and campus ministries from around the country. 

Help us reach our goal for this year by raising $8,500 with 60 donors.
