St. Thomas Aquinas Church – Newman Center

Thank you for your support of the Newman Center. Because of it, we are able to continue offering life-changing ministries and encounter thousands of students each year. This year, we are grateful to have a $35,000 matching gift challenge that will support our ministries.

This year alone, we have seen significant growth in involvement: 
1,115 students attended Bible studies at least once 
768 attended four or more times
238 growing disciples 
98 students entered the Catholic Church this Easter
160+ students are doing weekly Eucharistic holy hours

The Newman Center - St. Thomas Aquinas Church is the Catholic Church at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. Located on the edge of campus, it's more than just a place that students come and go to church at. 

It has become a place they belong. A home. 

Throughout the day, students will come to pray between classes, study or just hang out in the lobby of the Newman Center. During the school year, it is rare to walk through the commons area without finding it filled with life. It is a place where life-long friendships have been built and faith has been deepened. A place where students who may not know Christ when they walk through our doors, often leave having encountered Him. For many, the Newman Center becomes a second home; a place where they are seen, known and supported, and where they are continually invited into something deeper.
