The St. Therese Fund

For 125 years Little Flower has provided students with a superior Catholic education. To advance our school’s mission, every year we invite our entire school and parish community to support the St. Therese Fund – our annual giving fund -  which helps to educate our students academically and spiritually.

This Fund is significant for Little Flower because it provides dependable, recurring, budgeted support for Little Flower’s priorities as well as opportunities.

In the 2011-2012 school year, tuition will fund only 65% of our school’s operating budget. Every family will benefit from gifts to the St. Therese Fund and it takes the entire community – parents, friends, alumni and parishioners to bridge the gap.

St. Therese in her life showed us her “ Little Way of love and confidence”. Every gift will show St. Therese our love for Little Flower and our confidence in her future. You will be remembered by the students in our weekly school Mass.

Little Flower School is a Catholic school located in the heart of Southern Maryland.  LFS partners with families to foster the growth of the whole child.  We celebrate the uniqueness of each child and strive to provide students with the opportunity to realize their potential in a diverse and changing world.  Last year for Giving Tuesday, we raised funds for a new portable stage.  We were thrilled to be able to use our new stage for our Veterans Tribute this year, and look forward to using it again for our upcoming Christmas programs. This year, our goal is to be able to purchase lab tables for our STEM lab.  All of our students (PreK-3 through 8th Grade) take STEM and would benefit from having actual lab tables to work at, instead of just desks.  If we exceed our goal, additional funds will go towards the purchase of subscriptions to Generation Genius and Gizmo, which provide virtual, interactive math and science simulations.  Thank you for your generosity.
